Facilities FAQs
What can I do when I am at DIY Dogs Play?
It’s all about exercise and play for you and your dog. Feel free to bring balls, frisbees, training aids or agility equipment. While the dogs play on the grass, we ask the humans to stay on the pathways – especially when it’s wet or frosty. This helps the grass remain in perfect condition for the dogs to run and play on, and no muddy feet for you.
How secure is each dog field?
How many dogs can I bring?
Can I hire the field for large groups/clubs/for my dog trainer to use?
Can I come with a friend?
Can I bring another family’s dog?
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are allowed in the dog fields, but they must be under your supervision at all times. They are only allowed in the area you have booked and for the time you have booked. They must not climb on any of the fencing.
Is drinking water available?
Fresh water is available in each run (in a watering can), and there is also a tap at the front of the barn. In the interests of hygiene, if you think your dog will need a drink during your session, please bring your own water bowl.
Are all dogs welcome?
Where do I park when I get to you?
Please check your confirmation email to find which run you have been allocated. Orange Run is the first run, and the parking bay is to the right of the green barn. Yellow Run’s parking bay is to the left of the barn. Each booking comes with parking for one car within the secure run. There is no other parking on or off-site.
Each run has its own individual block-paved parking space, which is 4.5m wide by 8m long. The gates to the run will be open when you arrive. If they are closed or somebody is still in there at your allotted time, please call 07976724501.
Please ensure you don’t drive onto the grass when you park, and close the gates before you let your dog out.
What if somebody is in the run I have booked?
The gates to the run will be open when you arrive. If they are closed or somebody is still in there, please check you are at the correct run. This will be in your confirmation email. If you’re at the correct run and it’s your allotted time, please call 07976 724 501.

I have spotted something I think isn’t quite right. What do I do?

What do I do with dog mess?
If it’s your dog’s, please pick it up. There is a bin, which is emptied every day, and spare poo bags within each parking area. If it’s a messy one, please pick up what you can and then use the watering cans provided to do the rest.
If you find any mess or digging that isn’t from your dog, please – “Flag and Call or Text” on 07976724501. There are flags along every fence within each run for you to place next to the offending area so we can deal with this after your visit.
